What is the Miss Rocknroute 66 event all about??

Well, let me enlighten all you hep cats and cool chicks.
The Miss Rocknroute 66 event is a fun way to get dressed up in your best vintage attire and have a killer photo shoot in front of some of the most amazing rat rods, classic cars and bikes to grace our iconic Route 66 strip.
* This is not a pin-up “pageant.” This event is to get woman to come out and take some amazing photos with some bas-ass vehicles, to take home some lasting memories that may be out of your comfort zone. The twist??? At the end of the day, you have the chance to win one of 5 awesome titles. How cool right? You get to have some fun and let lose by taking some awesome photos AND be in the running to possibly take home a title. Not to shabby!

Ok all you crazy cats and kittens, listen up.....
This year is gonna be a bash. Females ages 18 and up are welcome to enter. Come have some fun and check out all the amazing rat rods, classic cars and custom bikes, listen to some great music, purchase one-of-a-kind gifts from our vendors and stay for the fun beard and mustache contest. You won't want to miss the Cruisin 66 parade and the rat rod head-to-head burn out...it's a gas!!

1. Contact the event director, LuLu La'Rouge to get your entry forms.
2. Fill out the 2 forms and read the handbook.
3. Send in your entry fee, 2 forms and one photo.
(We are only taking 15 contestants for the Miss RocknRoute 66 pin-up event)
4. Figure out and purchase what you are going to wear for your photo shoot.
5. Show up no later than 9:00 am on Saturday September 16th and get ready to have a blast getting your photo taken in front of some bad ass rat rods, classic cars and amazing bikes.
(Too my knowledge, we are the only pin-up events that gets you in front of the most vehicles for photos during the event)
6. Stay in your attire and enjoy the other contestants during the day and then go grab a bite to eat or go sightseeing.
7. Come back on Sunday September 17th @ 9:00 am and check out the vendors take some personal photos with the crowd and cars. Check out the salsa tasting contest, beard and mustache contest and put in your vote for the best rat rods, classics, custom bikes and beautiful pin-up babes. Stay for the rat rod head-to-head burn out, car show awards, crowning of the Miss RocknRoute 66 event and then a fun parade of cars with our winning court.

The way the judging works; you get your photos taken in front of several vehicles. Sooooo practice your poses at home prior to the day of the photo shoot and make them perfect. The judges make the final decision on the top photo of the day. There can be several thousand
photos to go through and it gets narrowed down
to each entrants top 5 photos. The judges then decide on the TOP photo of the day, IF it is YOUR photo, then YOU will be crowned the official Miss RocknRoute 66 queen and you will have your top 12 photos put into a calendar. We have 5 titles to hand out on Sunday 17, 2023. Miss RocknRoute 66 (top photo), Miss Seligman 66 (local title), Historic Miss 66 (overall sportsmanship), Miss RocknTiki 66 (themed attire) and Miss Rockn 66 People's choice. And who knows there may be another title added...

Saturday September 16th, 2023:
Miss Rocknroute 66 pin-up event.
You will seek out the event director when you are finished in the dressing room, you will head out to the first vehicle and have your photos taken. After your photo shoot has finished you are free to leave if you want but we encourage you to stay and root on the rest of the contestants.

This is an outdoor event!!!
The only way we will cancel is if we have
heavy rain or wind.

Miss RocknRoute 66 wins: (Top Photo) A crown, satin sash, gift bag with goodies, and a calendar with your top 12 photos.

Seligman 66 wins: (Local Title) A crown, satin sash, gift bag with goodies, and a calendar with your top 12 photos.
​
Miss Rockn' 66 People's Choice (People's Choice) A crown, satin sash, gift bag with goodies, and a calendar with your top 12 photos. (This is done on Sunday. You will need to introduce yourself and charm the spectators, car show enthusiasts and vendors)

Historic Miss 66 wins: (Overall Sportsmanship title) A crown, satin sash and gift bag with goodies, and a calendar with your top 12 photos.
​
Miss RocknTiki 66 wins: (Themed Title) A crown, satin sash, gift bag with goodies, and a calendar with your top 12 photos.
If you enter the themed portion of the event, you are not in the running for the main top photo)
Alternants: Matching jewelry set; headband/flower with earrings, necklace and bracelet.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER
If you would like to help out at any of the events, please call the director to find out ways that you can be of assistance. Handing out flyers, going to businesses to help out and sponsor, or to put up flyers in the stores, going to the schools to bring in flyers, helping out at the event in many different ways. There are a ton of ways to help. Just call the director to see where your best suited.
The Miss Rocknroute 66 event is looking for:
​
1) Photographers that would like to add some amazing photos to their portfolio. Please note this is NOT a paying gig from the event director.
​
2) People that would like to be "assistants" throughout the day to volunteer and assist the director. You will need your cell phone on you at all times and may be given' a walkie talkie to use throughout the event.
​
3) Hair & makeup artists, that can be available from 8:00 am through 12:00 pm. You will be compensated from the individual contestants themselves.
​
4) DJ/Band: A person or band that would like to either get there name out there or that would be ok with volunteering their time for a fun day out on the Route 66 strip with pretty ladies, rat rods, classics cars and custom bikes. 50's music is a must.
​
5) Rat rods, classics and custom bike owners!! Would you like your vehicle to be seen by the world? Would you like to have your vehicle in photos and a calendar with some beautiful ladies? Well then, this is the time, and this is the place. Don't be cruisin' for a bruisin', show off all of that hard work or work in progress to the masses. Make sure you come dressed to impress in your best vintage style. Slicked back hair, jeans, white t-shirt and you'll be fitting right in.

6) Businesses that would donate some of their wares. Gift certificates, gift items to put into the pin-up contestants gift bags OR to sponsor the sashes, crowns or car show trophies.
​
7) Vendors!! Are you a coinsure that makes food, crafts, jewelry, artwork, soaps, woodworking, etc. and are wanting to get your name out there? Contact the event director. There is a $25.00 booth fee.
​
8. Think your Salsa is the best tasting around Northern Arizona? Well let's put it to the test with our yummy salsa tasting contest.
​
9. Anyone up for a poker run? Bikers if you would like to utilize our event for one of your stops or the last stop, contact us.
*ALL money goes directly to putting on this event.
RocknRoute Rendezvous Car Show Information
Donating to this event helps out the high cost of putting these events on for the community. Whether it is for the sashes, crowns, medallions, plaques, program books, car awards, etc. any type of donation is greatly appreciated.

Calling all car enthusiasts.... here is how you can enter your amazing vehicle into the RocknRoute Rendezvous car show. Last year we only offered the car show awards to the rat rods but this year we have opened it up to all vehicles, rat rods, Pre 70's classic cars and "custom" bikes.
1. Contact the event director to get your car show form.
2. Fill out your form.
3. Send in your form, a photo of your vehicle and $25.00 (per vehicle) fee to the address/email on the form.
4. Show up between 6:45 am and 8:30 am on Sunday September 17th and get ready to show off your baby.

Your form and fees need to be turned in prior to September 2nd, 2023
We also have the Miss RocknRoute 66 pin-up event on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 (same location). There is no fee to have your car or bike in the Miss RocknRoute 66 pin-up event, but you will need to submit a photo of your vehicle.
You can be in both the pin up event on Saturday and the car show on Sunday as well.
We will have towels and make sure that the pin-up contestants either take off their shoes (if entering the vehicle) or take proper preparations in keeping your vehicle scratch free along with briefing the photographers to please take the utmost care and assist the pin-up contestants when leaning against, getting in or on the vehicle. We know that you have taken special care of your vehicle and we want to do the same. By putting your vehicle in the pin-up event on Saturday, your vehicle will be there for the duration of the pin-up event. Your vehicle will be in all of the photos with each of the 15 contestants and could even have your vehicle in our calendar.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you would like your vehicle in the Miss RocknRoute 66 pin-up event on Saturday September 16th and/or the RocknRoute Rendezvous car show on Sunday September 17th.
